Acorn Equality Fund

Acorn Equality Fund is a grassroots, non-profit organization that provides financial support to advance the education, health, and civil rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, organizations, and allies in central and downstate Illinois. Since its founding in 1999, Acorn has awarded more $680,000 in scholarships and grants. Together we can build a bright, united future.


LCHS Foundation

The Lincoln Community High School Foundation has been created to enrich lifelong learning programs and provide educational opportunities for LCHS students. This Foundation provides funds beyond the normal operating budget for community educational programs not available through tax revenues. It is a non-profit, independent, tax-exempt organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, who are business and professional members of the community with a commitment to education. The Foundation acquires these scholarship funds through generous donations made by members of our community.


Lincoln Woman's Club

FWC Lincoln Woman's Club typically offers a $1,000.00 scholarship annually to a female graduating in 2024 from Hartsburg-Emden, Lincoln, or Mt. Pulaski schools. Applications are typically available in the high school guidance counselor offices. Applicants must attend an accredited Illinois school. Payment will be made to the student financial aid office in one installment for the fall semester.Â
