Lincoln Memorial Hospital

Breastfeeding Support Group

We are Ready. Safe. Go. at ALMH and ready to welcome new mothers who may have questions and concerns about breastfeeding in the weeks leading up to and after birth. Join us for a weekly breastfeeding support group at ALMH led by an ALMH registered nurse who has earned a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) certification. Masks are required and every surface is sanitized to ensure a safe environment for mothers and babies. There are a limited number of individuals allowed at a time to ensure social distancing. Our new moms can feel safe and supported in this environment that will give you an opportunity to weigh your baby and ask questions. The group meets on Wednesdays, noon to 1:30 p.m., in the Graue Room at ALMH. No reservations are needed to attend this free support group.

Breastfeeding Support Line

Breastfeeding is natural but it doesn't always come so naturally. New mothers may need more information, education and support once at home with their new baby. It's important to us that you have the support you need to successfully continue breastfeeding and we are here to help any time of day to navigate any challenges you may be experiencing. New mothers can call a member of our team directly at 217-605-5233. There is no cost for this service.
